Welcome Message
Welcome to the Translational Biodiversity Genomics network! Building upon the successful completion of the LOEWE Centre for Translational Biodiversity Genomics (LOEWE-TBG), we continue our commitment to exploring biodiversity genomics through research, collaborations, and active scientific exchange. The TBG network unites leading institutions and dedicated researchers from Hessen, exploring new opportunities beyond the original project’s conclusion.
Aim of the Network:
The TBG network aims to leverage genomic diversity as a cornerstone for biodiversity research and conservation. Our interdisciplinary research spans diverse topics such as Comparative Genomics, Natural Product Genomics, Genomic Biomonitoring, and Functional Environmental Genomics. A major achievement has been the long-term sustainability of the infrastructures, professorships, and collaborations established by LOEWE-TBG, secured through Senckenberg’s strategic initiative “Anthropocene Biodiversity Loss,” third-party funding, and institutional support. Looking ahead, we plan further interdisciplinary research projects addressing the global biodiversity crisis, ensuring the practical application of genomic insights in conservation efforts. .
