The LOEWE Centre TBG has now transitioned into an active collaborative network.
The LOEWE Centre for Translational Biodiversity Genomics (LOEWE-TBG) was established in 2018 to address genomic diversity in biodiversity research and conservation. LOEWE-TBG filled a critical gap in our understanding of genetic diversity as a fundamental aspect of biological diversity, and explored the use of genomic diversity for societal benefits.
Upcoming interdisciplinary projects, including a planned DFG-funded graduate school on Translational Biodiversity Genomics, highlight the network’s ongoing commitment to addressing global biodiversity loss. The network continuously strives to translate genomic insights into practical solutions for sustainable biodiversity use and conservation.
